How it works

later.dog is open source and runs on Cloudflare. Your apps sign in once, then talk to one Cloud home that keeps your dogs, chats and routines.

How later.dog fits togetherThe Mac app and the iPhone app sign in at accounts.later.dog with an email code, then talk to your Cloud home, a Cloudflare Worker with a Durable Object and a Container that keeps your dogs, chats and routines. Each dog gets its own computer, another Container. For AI, the Cloud home uses your Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor sign-in, or the free models, Kimi K2.6 with Grok as a backup, which go through AI Gateway. Your apps

The Mac app and the iPhone app sign in at accounts.later.dog with your email and a code. After that they show the same dogs and chats.

Your Cloud home

One place on Cloudflare that keeps your dogs, chats and routines: a Worker with a Durable Object and a Container. Routines run here, so they keep going when your Mac is closed.

Each dog's computer

Every dog gets a Linux desktop of its own, in another Container. You can watch it work and sign in to a site for it once.

AI and voice

Your Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor sign-in, or the free models, Kimi K2.6 with Grok as a backup, through AI Gateway. Voice uses Aura-2, or ElevenLabs.

Install later.dog

For Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 12 or later.

  1. 1Open later.dog-macOS-arm64.dmg from your Downloads.
  2. 2Drag later.dog onto the Applications folder.
  3. 3Open later.dog from Applications. macOS asks once whether to open an app you downloaded.
  4. 4Sign in with your email. Enter the code we send, and your dogs are there.
